Mom on the go: Winter bits I love!

I know it's been a while since I have put anything on here but 'better late than never' eh?! I like to think of myself as a young mother who has a strong sense of what I like and what I don't like  when it comes to fashion so I do hope that is reflected in any fashion type clogs that I do. However, I have been inspired by a lot of this years autumn/winter trends so my blogs/clogs will definitely reflect a mix. Ultimately, I just make my own rules, look at what best fits my expression, passion and the impression that I would like to make in this beautiful world. 

Right about now I'm still coming to terms with the fact that I have no hair! It's winter and probably not the best time of year for the 'big chop' but I just had to commit. So I fully committed and even died my hair blue black (I haven't seen much of that hint of blue since I dyed it though). Nevertheless, I feel like I have to be more deliberate with how I style my hair now that it's short! I have managed to pull off some really edgy and dramatic looks with this hairstyle so ultimately - I'm pretty glad that I cut it.  I feel like my statement pieces are my earrings nowadays, just because they compliment my short hairstyles.  I have a few that really 'dress the ear'  which is perfect for the look that I'm trying to go for. I'm also loving these new sensaya glasses, which have a real retro hint to them but are not overpowering.

As a mum on the the go there are some stylish items I purchased to 'dress with ease and swiftness' cause let's be honest - a mother's work is never done. So no one actually wants to spend ages getting ready whilst the baby is screaming. So this look really works for me in a rush. I have two boots, this is the one I wear with my short dresses and it actually keeps me warm/is super comfy to wear this time of year. My other boots are worn over jeans - and boy do I live in my jeans. I love boots at this time of year and these pair have no heels! Flat shoes work so well for me when I'm 'out and about' and make it easier to engage with my son etc. 

I definitely will be coming at you with more winter pieces I've purchased and love within the next few weeks. Hopefully before Christmas!
